Arcera

Electricians

Electrical enquiries organised for your next safe pause.

When you are working on a switchboard, answering a phone is not the priority. Arcera supports the communication around your electrical business so callers can explain what they need without interrupting the work in front of you. It uses your approved questions and handover rules, while technical judgement and decisions about attendance remain with your licensed team.

New installations and uncertain faults

Calls may concern a new power point, a commercial fit-out, a rental inspection or a reported loss of power. They often arrive while an electrician is on a ladder, in a ceiling space or speaking with a site supervisor. After-hours callers may describe a problem as an emergency. Arcera captures that description and follows your approved escalation wording. It does not determine electrical safety, advise someone to touch equipment, dispatch an electrician or guarantee a response time.

Questions your workflow can ask

  • Where is the property and what type of premises is it?
  • Is this new installation work, maintenance or a reported fault?
  • What have you noticed, in your own words?
  • Is the enquiry about a single area or the wider property?
  • Who is the site contact and what is their callback number?
  • Are there access restrictions or site induction requirements?

What reaches your team

The summary separates the request category, location and caller's observations from anything your team has not verified. It includes contact details, access constraints, the requested callback window and whether an approved escalation rule was followed. Commercial enquiries can include the site contact and induction requirements. This gives you a practical starting point for a conversation rather than an unqualified instruction to attend or an assumed diagnosis.

Illustrative after-hours scenario

A request ready for human review

A small shop owner calls after closing because several lights have stopped working. In this illustrative scenario, Arcera records what the owner reports, the premises address and how to reach them. It follows the electrician's approved safety and escalation wording without offering repair instructions. A structured request reaches the nominated contact for review. The caller is not told that an electrician has been dispatched.

What Arcera does not do for electricians

  • Does not diagnose faults or determine whether electrical equipment is safe.
  • Does not provide wiring or repair instructions.
  • Does not quote electrical work or promise emergency attendance.
  • Does not reserve a site visit unless an approved connected calendar supports it.

Questions from electricians

Can Arcera gather information for a commercial electrical enquiry?

It can collect approved administrative details such as the premises type, site contact and access requirements. Your team assesses the technical scope and any compliance obligations.

What happens when a caller reports a dangerous electrical issue?

The assistant follows your approved safety and escalation wording. It does not assess the danger or give technical instructions, and escalation does not guarantee attendance.

Can installation enquiries be separated from fault calls?

Yes. The workflow can ask the caller which type of enquiry they have and label the handover accordingly. An electrician still confirms the scope and suitability of the job.
